This historic Spanish Revival residence in Santa Barbara was thoughtfully reimagined through a lens of architectural preservation, material integrity, and enduring California elegance. Platner Studio led the interior design direction with a focus on honoring the home’s original character while refining its spatial flow and livability for modern family life. Every intervention was approached with restraint and intention, allowing the architecture itself to remain the focal point.

Layered plaster walls, natural stone, aged woods, and curated antiques create a quiet richness throughout the interiors, balancing old-world romance with contemporary ease. The resulting home feels deeply rooted in place, sophisticated yet soulful, collected rather than decorative, embodying a timeless sensibility that transcends trend.
